Following a married couple on their thru-hike down the Continental Divide Trail, Kulu Treks brings the audience along as they journey through America's backyard: exploring the beauty of nature and discovering both Native & local communities & their history,

Story Summary/Synopsis:

The story of HIKING THE DIVIDE follows married couple Richard and Kelsey Mourant down the Continental Divide Trail on a thru-hike (trekking down a long distance trail), exploring and discovering nature while meeting Native & local people and their stories, communities and (in the case of Native Americans) delicious recipes.


Story Structure:
The story is an arced docu-hybrid structured chronologically with side-stories & characters that are from the location the team is passing through. The local communities are characters themselves in this story, showing the hikers, as well as the viewers, the beauty and cultural history that they include in their borders.
